Halloween Pests
Is there any holiday more suited to pest control than Halloween? I think not. It may be the only time of year when people festoon their homes with spiders, bats, rats, webs and other creepy-crawly things. We usually spend our time removing such things from the homestead. So, before and after October 31, you may need us for…Spiders. There are about 3,000 species of spiders throughout North America. All of them bite but only two of them are acknowledged to cause serious harm – the black widow and the brown recluse. The common house spider is perhaps the spider most frequently encountered indoors and is considered a nuisance pest. Eliminating harborage areas is a good way to control spiders.
Bats. Bats are protected by law in most states (they are an important part of the eco-system, eating insects and flower nectar) so it’s important to consult with a professional before taking action against them. The best time to bat-proof is in autumn when bats leave for hibernation so put Home Paramount on your fall call list to handle any problem that you might have.
Rats. These large rodents fearlessly leave the safety of their den to seek out food and many cities are creating task forces to combat growing infestations of these troublesome pests. Home Paramount’s exclusion and control program can protect your home and office from commonly encountered rats, such as Roof and Norway rats.
